Previous version support

While I installed it right, it just picked up the user details (guess Joomla default) from previous version.

It did not pickup anything else. Are we required to take a manual backup and restore after installing this component?

JS Jobs support previous versions. But recommended take backup.
It pick up all database data but may some problems with resume directory.

If jobs data is too huge it will take some time or make some problems.

Database structure is changed and you can\'t restore is manually.
But this is a testing release so recommended to also take backup manually.

Hello,

I also had an issue with installing over a previous version.
As mentioned in another post elsewhere, I was NOT able to install this testing version while the other version was installed. I had to physically uninstall it to get it to work, thereby losing previous information (fortunately I was only in the testing stages of that install also).

Cheers

JS Jobs and JS Jobs testing not install together, only one version install at a time.

Hi again Ahmad,

As you mentioned there could be problems with the resume directory and so did it happen.

I upgraded from the old version to 1.0.5.5 beta long back but now can\'t download the Resumes via Employer login.

Get this not found error:
Not Found

The requested URL /components/com_jsjobs/data/jobseeker/resume_62/resume/faisal cv-12.doc was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I fixed the permission issues with the Resume folder to 777, and new Resumes work fine now. But, how to get back those old Resumes? I\'ve manual backup of all of them.

Let me know if someone got an idea.

Thanks.
