Language Overrides

6 years 4 months ago #5761 by Bryan Earl
What is the correct process for creating language overrides for the JS Jobs Pro component?

Apparently you are not using the built-in Joomla language system??

There are A TON of bad grammar and spelling mistakes everywhere throughout the component that need to be fixed, but I can't find where to override the language strings.

After the correcting language file, you can submit language file in joomsky ticket system
docs.joomsky.com/jsjobs/translations.html#manually-translate

Why don't you follow the required guidelines for language files in Joomla? You can't really expect us to edit core component files like the language.ini file because when we update the component, won't all of the changes be overwritten?

You should allow us to use the standard Joomla Language Override system.

Normally, I could at least just look in your language file to find the language string used and then create a manual override in the language system. However, in your language file, ALL of the strings have spaces in them! This means that it is impossible to use the Joomla Language Override system.

I honestly hope you have plans of changing this ASAP.
