ZIP Code maxlength

ZIP Code maxlength was created by Christian
The Zip Code in the fields has a maxlenght of 6 chars.
Where can I change the maxlenght as our zipcodes are longer than 6. In the database it shows 24 so the maxlenght is not in there.
